If you’re an amateur runner who runs to stay fit as I do. If you are a new runner, this works well. If you are an excellent professional, I think this would work, but we recommend one of the upper extremities Polar watches – perhaps the RS200sd with the foot module, or some of the really fancy (and expensive) material. < , Br />. . . . so, I came out (I was in shorts), came out my door, and went out to run several miles – from the box and the whole race I realized what I said the clock, heart rate, the basics. /> So it is very usable out of the box with a small configuration.
WHY?
– Easy Easy to configure and use. I pulled out of the box. The screen is blank and I panicked. . . but it was plastic and had a finger pointing to where it should release (red button). . . clock and crossed a small set-up sequence, enter the hour, day, date, date of birth, weight, age. After that was done, I wet the electrodes of the mail, put the strap – rather easy and comfortable. I pressed the red button and say
– Is it really possible to say that the people who put together this watch to) know, care and attention to the runners to their needs and b) That are technically saavy and make technology easy.
– Can be used as a clock.
– Priced Right. It used to be the guy who always buys the best of the best of the best, but in this market where there so many choices, I want to buy what is right for me. I’m not a super runner and do not aspire to be, I’m just a beginner (been running for 20 + years) so this watch was perfect at the right price with the appropriate characteristics. The site has a good relationship polar certainly in their products.
difficult to find things about this watch:
– has a standby mode so you can shut
– The group has a replaceable battery with instruction manual on how to change their (Should not say he change his mind or not, follow the instructions and I’ll probably change my when necessary)
– The band is water resistant to 30 meters and 50 meters the ‘clock – so you can swim with this, but not diving (silly point, I am a diver and this is a completely different game), but if “you’re a lap swimmer, you can use this … but the main one ticking of ‘clock.
– You can tell your heart rate in beats per minute or percentage of target (%) depending on weight, age – your OwnZone calculation or. The watch has a feature that you can learn (and you can put it in a learning phase on you so you can calculate the force that should work out)
– To me, this is basically the RS200sd without foot module – ( sold separately for about $ 129 or as a package with the RS200sd.) Do not know if I need So perhaps, at some point, when I get in shape.
– The clock has a history of training so they can go back and see what you were doing and even upload to your computer and make follow-up (I’m going to play with this when I finished with the review).
– If you use it as a clock? Some people do not realize that its a computer that is running, it might be a conversation starter for some, others may consider it too arrogant of advertising that you’re a runner. I personally think if the first watch that I’m walking out the door, as the its not too big, given the time, date – I wear shorts and T, but certainly not a very complete and it is not a white tie state dinner. Up to you.
– This clock enough features that runners can train with (and has been designed from the literature for the runner who is more of a beginner, but not quite an athlete – Polar makes all types of watches and I am glad that this for me, not the top line, not the basics … I wanted a belt replaceable battery … just for me).
LIVING FIT (with one here):
– The component is adjustable wrist watch very very small to very large wrists work
– The component of the belt is elastic, but I found that opening up to its peak and although I would say that I have a 48 ” Arnold’s chest for the ladies – I’m just a little man ’so 40Regular FYI, if you are a very very big boy, you may need a larger belt (I think that Polar sells but is not safe and has a belt special links to polar form) … Sincerely your big guys out there or if you’re 42 – 44chest, it is desirable, but probably a bit ’stronger than my own way.
Who am I? (So you can weigh my review accordingly)
– Recreativo Runner (9 to 20 km per week depending on my way … argh recently that my minimum.)
– Run to stay fit (not a marathon runner, but when you are in good shape, up to 12 to 15 miles … not now … at this time has not yet returned from a leg game in the long history – not recommended to break the leg in the rainforests of the far 3 countries, has always been a weak physical form and use the clock to maintain a safe learning environment my work as I have a way back into shape. What I really say, if you work – you begin to feel worse, like you and if you take a look at his watch, most likely, your heart went up to 100% or 110% of your heart rate around 190bpm for me, but this tool is very useful for that, but more so if your heartbeat is too slow, you know that you should slow down and speed up the pace and this prevents training in your area (do not know what your area? Do not worry, the clock says). 176bpm media for 28 minutes in this first session with a maximum of 187bpm and stayed in zone 5 for 96% of my training – not bad for an old beggar with one leg (getting the team record to see the saves). I did not go very far and I know because I can foot module ($ 129 for separately, or you can get the RS200sd.)
– I try to run a couple of times week, I love traveling award, photography, love, love technology, I try to be good for me – and this watch is helping me get fit again.
– I pay for this kind so, I am just anonymous, enjoy privacy, but I like to share my experiences, and usually only have to share my good and I hope that helps you make an informed decision choice. It seems that the computers are running much better these days – I’m glad.
DISCLAIMER – I’m just a guy to share my experience with my watch. Be active at their own pace and seek doctor before starting if you have any doubt. I recommend not to take the watch and strap on it, and will work one minute and 30 to 96% capacity in an afternoon warm heart of the sun, if you’ve never flown first is not a regular runner, or have not exercised a bit. ‘I’m not a great runner, but I have run my life for me to say what my body is telling me (recently this race, I’m not so young as I was). I think polar bears the slogan is “Listen to your body … and stay safe. I have a child and to help me with this thing, can not substitute for security, but as an aid to stay safe . We live in a litigious society and do not want to be a boy and having a heart attack or worse get a heart attack and pointing the finger at me (horrors!). Be careful out there.
< br /> – I bought this from Amazon, delivered the next day was warm in my hands 16 hours later, I shot 16 hours 5 minutes later, very happy.

I got this watch (black) for about a year. I have not bought the pedometer accessory. />
The clock went closures at 4 “all” black light on each pixel in the face. When this happens, you have to do a “reboot” for holding all 4 buttons down simultaneously until the clock reset. Of course, all data needs to return. />
The clock has also mysteriously reset to March 24, 2005, in 4 or 5 further closures (10 credit hours). Date and time are all in poor condition, but keeps your personal information. />
The problem seems to be in RS200. As places runnersworld for many, many more unhappy customers before making a decision on this watch.

Like all new products polar, the bib of this product gets a rating of 5 stars, while the producers get a majority of the other 3 at best. And ‘comfortable, lightweight, and I actually fit (one size smaller in the chest), and encrypted transmission should work well in group settings, as they say.
Watch obtained a score of 2.3 stars best: keys just work right out of the box (press a button to push is very variable / unreliable), the screen is one of the worst I’ve seen in 10 years because this is the year 2007 is of low contrast, and the top is a low-resolution black and white instead of matrix LCD sets. They did this to take full control over what is there, but given the use (ie, is not really necessary), which seems cheap compared to products out there with full-matrix LCD, and visibility is poor ( ugly icons low resolution, small fonts for menus 1 pixel wide).
Almost all mobile phones, mp3 players small, most of the devices on the market today have an LCD screen better parent – most in color.
This is a subjective matter, but if this product is similar to all other Polar products: if it sounds cheap (unattractive plastic), and too big. They do most of the product style bulb, for a clock, volume, is unnecessarily large.
Polar has the largest number of patents in the monitoring of human resources – new to this product, have a difficult choice between the customers a good, solid connection HR (Polar), compared to go with other electronics manufacturers that make much better (see).

I have this watch to help me quantify my workload for roadworks. It replaces the Polar F-11, I was very happy. The functionality of this watch is even better than the F-11. Maintains “interesting feature, but” not particularly useful test for the calculation of their VO2max, and retains the OwnZone calculation, that a bit easier to use ‘. Then add the ability to define more precisely the heart rate zones to your specification, then design their own exercise protocols based on these areas. I find it very useful to keep my workout track. Provides enough flexibility for me to define remedial courses, interval sessions, and so on, without having to do a lot of planning and design for each session.
weaknesses of this product are features of the interface. First, the keys have a cheap feel to them. This is not really a problem since they have not yet broken, but it is disconcerting that every time you press a button. Secondly, I found the interface difficult to use for some things. People often forget the sequence I should use to start a particular class session or for a certain kind of display during the workout. I think the commonly used features can be easier to use, less complex and more often used instead. Things like starting a particular type of training should be much easier to make and require less experience and practice. This is distracting.
In general, this is the best training monitor I’ve had so far (my HR monitor Polar quarter). I tend to buy new ones every two years, instead of going through the trouble to send back to have the battery replaced. For my purposes, I would much more replaceable battery locally, but this is a complaint about Polar, not a product.
I recommend this product to anyone who wants to be able to quantify the intensity of their training more effective. We recommend using Friel heart rate zone recommendations from “Total Heart Rate Training” rather tha using the default zones that come with the monitor. My shop is only running the Polar brand, so I went with this model. It works, even if it is a battery that only 5% left and had to replace it. The design of user interfaces for a living and a lot of clocks are bad, but one of the worst user interfaces I’ve ever seen. States and rules are confusing and the use of ‘pixels of the display is incredibly expensive and confusing. The feeling of the same clock feels cheap and the buttons are flimsy. Does what it says, using the feature set is complicated beyond the beginning of the operation of basic function. As with most products, the manual is so confusing and poorly presented. And if it’s true what they say. I am much happier with my trekking Highgear watch anyway.
